Corn gluten

Corn gluten is second only to animal and vegetable fats, it contains about 60% crude protein. Corn protein contains a large amount of essential amino acids and is the best source of methionine, beta-carotene (provitamin “A”), xanthophyll, threonine, tryptophan, calcium, phosphorus and sodium, and also contains a rich complex of fats and water-soluble vitamins E, B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B6. In terms of energy, 1 kg of gluten corresponds to 7 kg of maize, and in terms of protein, 1 kg of fishmeal. Compared to soybean meal, corn gluten contains 36% more metabolic energy, 28% more protein and 4 times more linoleic acid. Gluten has a simple protein form and is easily absorbed by the body of animals and birds, bringing weight gain without harmful consequences. Properly refined corn gluten is used in specialist sports nutrition.
